Melbourne Brick was founded in 1988 on the historic site of City Brick in Glen Iris. 

For over thirty years, we’ve been supporting the local community, local tradespeople and local product manufacturers where possible.

Over thirty years we’ve seen an enormous amount of change in the styles and types of products that people favour. More recently, artificial grass has become popular for people who want low maintenance or for areas where natural turf just won’t grow. Buffalo is still the most popular grass variety and we stock many natural grass brands from My Home Turf. We are also seeing an increase in the desire to choose sustainable products and we have a wide range of sustainable bricks, blocks, cleaners (like GuardIT) and much more.

Thirty years ago, small-format clay pavers were popular; now, the majority of our customers prefer large-format pavers. Modern dry stone stack walls are now popular for feature walls, as are architectural bricks in a variety of beautiful colours and styles. We’re seeing the rise of Porcelain pavers – even some that look like wood decking. 

One thing that hasn’t changed is the passion the people in Melbourne and surrounding regions have for their homes and their outdoor space.
