Building a beautiful wall doesn’t mean keeping people out

Often walls are built to keep something or someone in or out.

Back in the second century AD, Hadrian’s wall – named after the Roman Emperor – Hadrian – was built in northern England.

Its original purpose was to keep out the marauding Picts and keep the Roman Empire intact.

Much of it still stands, and you can visit it next time you go to England.

Today, a wall can also simply be a beautiful part of the design of your home or backyard.

And the team at Melbourne Brick have a wide range of beautiful bricks, blocks and stone that you can use to build your own version of Hadrian’s wall.

Maybe it won’t be to keep out the Picts, but you’ll enjoy the result anyway.
